BA (Hons) English Literature

Course Overview

We combine the academic study of literature with skill-based modules to create a practical, applied English Literature degree. You’ll learn how to analyze a wide range of literary texts, but you'll also learn practical skills.

You’ll apply your knowledge and your skills in practical, professional ways, in preparation for the next stage in your career.

General Eligibility

• Indian students with 65% marks at Grade XII / Pakistani students with 70% marks at Grade XII

• A Level – Grades BCC

• Accredited Prior Learning equivalent to Year 1 and Year 2.

• Other equivalent qualifications from EduQual/BTEC with Merit.

• Copy of latest school credentials

• Passport copy

• Emirates ID (if any)

• Visa Page Copy

• Passport Size ID photo

Successful completion of one of the following:

• A recognized post-secondary course.

• University preparation (foundation) studies.

• One year of study at a recognized tertiary or higher education institution.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

• A mandatory English Language Test by Bath Spa University UK conducted in the Bath Spa University Academic Center RAK Campus; or IELTS (Academic) test results with an overall score of 6.0, a minimum score of 5.5 for each skill/band.
