BA (Hons) Journalism (with Foundation Year)

Our aim is to ensure a high-quality student experience while meeting the needs of a rapidly transforming industry during unprecedented global world change.

Journalists graduating from Teesside are equipped with the necessary storytelling skills to succeed across multiple media platforms. Last year more than 80% of our final-year students received a first-class or 2.1 degree, whilst student work is nationally recognised for its excellence.

You begin by learning the basics of original content creation – finding a story, discovering your voice, and expanding your interests and knowledge. You understand how stories are reframed for digital and social media and how to set up your website and generate revenue.

Whether your passion is sport, fashion, music or traditional news, we aim to ensure you are industry-ready to take up your chosen career.

Any combination of level 3 qualifications. Each application is considered on a case-by-case basis.
