Course Overview
This programme gives structured training in information technology with steady progress from basic programming to advanced system design. Students learn how software is built, tested, and maintained in real environments. Subjects include coding, databases, networks, cybersecurity, and software engineering methods.
The course supports hands-on learning through lab sessions and group work. Students also complete a final-year project that brings together the skills learned during the programme. This work often reflects real IT problems found in business or public services.
The University of Malta provides access to computing facilities and academic staff with experience in both teaching and applied computing. Students gain exposure to tools and methods used in industry, helping them build job-ready skills.
Graduates move into roles such as software developer, systems analyst, network support engineer, or IT consultant. Some continue into postgraduate study in computing fields.
