Course Overview

The Master of Professional Social Work Practice (Step Up to Social Work) course allows graduates holding the Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Social Work Practice to progress to a full Master's award by undertaking a work-based research project.

This work-based course enables you to gain the systematic and independent ability to critically evaluate current theoretical understanding and practice. You develop the skills needed to apply knowledge-informed and evidence-based practice in the workplace while undertaking a piece of supervised research.

General Eligibility

  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check

Applicants should have a good undergraduate degree at the Honours level or equivalent.

To apply for a postgraduate degree (MA/MSc/MBA/LLM) at the University of Bedfordshire you should have a good honors degree (or equivalent qualification) in an appropriate subject from a recognized university or HE institution.

We will also consider candidates with other relevant qualifications or appropriate work experience.

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
