A diverse range of career opportunities are available within the NHS and private sectors in the UK and overseas. This course has prepared the apprentice for the challenges and demands of contemporary and future nursing, health and social care practice. It also provides a stepping stone for the apprentice to develop further their expertise in nursing practice, leadership, research, education and consultancy.
The range of placements provides diverse and rewarding learning experiences. Orders may not be near the apprentice's home or within their local trust. They are expected to travel to different areas if they cannot gain experience in their place of employment.
Both practice and theory learning experiences enable the apprentice to explore the service user’s journey, developing their knowledge and understanding of nursing and healthcare needs within services across the age continuum.
