Course Overview

Study past cultures through the texts that framed their lives, and the landscapes, architecture and objects they made or inhabited. Combine the best of both worlds: training in critical historical source analysis with practical archaeological methods. Study at an internationally renowned centre for social archaeology, working on sites of global importance such as Stonehenge, Star Carr and Easter Island. Explore Mancunium, the city's own Roman fort, and discover the University's on-campus archaeological, ancient historical and ethnographic collections at Manchester Museum.
