PGCE Secondary Music

The PGCE Secondary Music course at Bath Spa University is designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become an effective music teacher. You will learn how to teach music in a way that inspires and motivates students, while also developing their musical talents. The course focuses on the practical aspects of teaching music, as well as the theoretical underpinnings of music education. Throughout the course, you will have opportunities to observe experienced teachers, develop your own teaching skills, and engage in reflective practice. Upon completion of the course, you will be awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and will be qualified to teach music in secondary schools.
