Course Overview

Criminologists study crime from a variety of approaches, making this a diverse field of study. You’ll study crime from a variety of angles and perspectives. Core modules focus on the main theories, debates, issues, and research problems in criminology and criminal justice, while optional modules enable you to develop your particular interests.

We’ll support and encourage you to gain practical experience in relevant fields through voluntary work and placements. You’ll develop practical and analytical skills as well as subject knowledge in crime and criminal justice.

General Eligibility

  • Indian students with 65% marks at Grade XII / Pakistani students with 70% marks at Grade XII

  • A Level – Grades BCC

  • Accredited Prior Learning equivalent to Year 1 and Year 2.

  • Other equivalent qualifications from EduQual/BTEC with Merit.

  • Copy of latest school credentials

  • Passport copy

  • Emirates ID (if any)

  • Visa Page Copy

  • Passport Size ID photo

Successful completion of one of the following:

  • A recognized post-secondary course.

  • University preparation (foundation) studies.

  • One year of study at a recognized tertiary or higher education institution.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • A mandatory English Language Test by Bath Spa University UK conducted in the Bath Spa University Academic Center RAK Campus; or IELTS (Academic) test results with an overall score of 6.0, minimum score of 5.5 for each skill/band.
