BSc (Hons) in Podiatry

This three-year undergraduate degree course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the scientific and clinical aspects of podiatry. Students will learn about the anatomy and physiology of the feet and legs, as well as the pathophysiology of common foot disorders such as diabetic foot disease, ingrown toenails, and bunions. The course will also cover the principles of podiatric medicine, including pharmacology, radiography, and wound management. In addition to lectures and seminars, students will gain practical experience through clinical placements in hospitals, clinics, and private practices. Upon completion of the course, students will be eligible to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a podiatrist.

Graduates from the BSc (Hons) Podiatry programme are qualified to practise as podiatrists (subject to registration with the Health and Care Professions Council after graduation). There is demand for podiatrists both in the NHS and in the private sector.

Minimum three A levels. Grades CC to include a Science/Food/Nutrition subject.
