Children’s nurses work in partnership with families to compassionately treat children and young people with acute and complex care needs, including life-limiting conditions.
During our BSc (Hons) Nursing (Child) course you’ll learn techniques for offering comfort and reassurance to patients and their families in difficult circumstances. Study the approaches you’ll need to take to deliver care that’s sensitive to the child’s physical, developmental and emotional needs.
Gain an understanding of the different settings in which you could be providing care, then develop your skills for the planning and delivery of interventions for positive health and wellbeing.
An interview forms part of the selection process. We are happy to accept IB qualifications that achieve the required number of UCAS Tariff points.
Access to Higher Education Diploma 45 credits at Level 3, for example, 9 credits at Distinction and 36 credits at Merit or 15 credits at Distinction and 30 credits at Merit. The required total can be attained from various credit combinations.
