The Nursing program at COE College is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in the field of nursing. The Nursing program at COE College is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and approved by the Texas Board of Nursing. Graduates of the program are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) and become licensed registered nurses (RNs).

As a nursing student earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, you will complete three full terms of 1:1 clinical practice with a registered nurse and meet on-site with faculty to discuss your clinical experience in real-time. In addition to the two high-quality hospitals within walking distance of Coe (and many within a 30-minute commute), clinical experiences take place in a variety of settings — home care, prisons, specialty units such as intensive care, free medical clinics, and health-focused study abroad opportunities in Korea, Tanzania, and England.

Nursing class sizes are small, allowing for individual attention and learning. Classrooms are highly interactive, promoting opportunities for critical thinking. Core nursing faculty have doctoral degrees and are experienced educators and health care providers.
