Course Overview

As a nursing student earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, you will complete three full terms of 1:1 clinical practice with a registered nurse and meet on-site with faculty to discuss your clinical experience in real-time. In addition to the two high-quality hospitals within walking distance of Coe (and many within a 30-minute commute), clinical experiences take place in a variety of settings — home care, prisons, specialty units such as intensive care, free medical clinics, and health-focused study abroad opportunities in Korea, Tanzania, and England.

Nursing class sizes are small, allowing for individual attention and learning. Classrooms are highly interactive, promoting opportunities for critical thinking. Core nursing faculty have doctoral degrees and are experienced educators and health care providers.
