The Legal Advice Clinic allows you to advise non-law students on legal issues (with support from academics and local solicitors)
The 'LEGAL WEEK' is an informal student-staff discussion group that runs every two weeks and discusses contemporary issues with legal implications. 'LEGAL WEEK' allows interaction and fruitful exchange of ideas and improves current awareness.
Your professional competencies can be enhanced by getting involved with the Student Law Society's debating, client interviewing, negotiating, and mooting activities.
This course will give you an in-depth understanding of public and private international law. It will equip you with the advanced knowledge and skills needed to understand the rules and principles governing how nations deal with each other. The course is ideal if you want to broaden your knowledge across international boundaries and if you want to work in legal practice or commercial legal work within corporations, non-governmental organizations, or the government. The course combines the study of eight option modules chosen from a broad range of topics. Through these modules, you will gain an excellent insight into the foundations, general principles, and current trends of international law, as well as the subject areas of international trade and finance, corporate law, world trade, and environmental law.
2:1 degree in law or an equivalent degree in an appropriate discipline.
20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
IELTS 6.5 or equivalent, with 6.0 in writing and nothing less than 5.5. If your first language is not English, you may need to prove your English ability. If you do not yet meet our requirements, our English Language Teaching Unit (ELTU) offers a range of courses to help you to improve your English to the necessary standard.
