The programme gives students understanding of how societies function, including education systems, social services, and community structures. It supports skills in research writing, communication, and analysis used in public service and education roles.
Students study how social issues are studied and addressed through academic methods and field-based learning. The course supports career paths in teaching, social services, research organisations, and government departments.
