Course Overview
If you already hold an LLB degree or equivalent qualification, this course will enhance your ability to manage and resolve disputes efficiently.
As part of your course, you’ll:
Study principles of construction law approach to dispute resolution (including arbitration, adjudication and mediation), and construction claims
Enhance your ability to identify and evaluate appropriate decision-making strategies
Develop research capability and skills to analyse problems in a professional context
Undertake five core modules, including a dissertation, and two option modules
This advanced study in the specific field of construction will prepare you to deal with the proliferation of contracts, conflicts and disputes that arise in the industry, and your learning will be supported by experts in the field, including construction solicitors, barristers, arbitrators, adjudicators and mediators. The course also has links with the Society of Construction Law.
General Eligibility
Applicants should either have at least a second class honours degree in the cognate subjects of Law or Construction, at least a second class honours degree in a non-cognate subject supported by evidence of an aptitude for the subject applied for or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment.
Part Time Work Details
20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
