International Business and Trade

... Belgium
... Thomas More - University of Applied Sciences

Course Overview

Established as Flanders' largest applied sciences institution, Thomas More built its business curriculum around industry integration. The International Business and Trade track expanded its global scope by introducing mandatory multi-country learning, sending students to complete projects and study exchanges in market centers such as the US, China, and India. Milestones include building direct links with regional logistics networks, European ports, and international corporate partners. Graduates consistently achieve high employment rates due to mandatory full-semester international internships, practical corporate challenges, and applied trade research project experience.

General Eligibility

Applicants need a secondary education diploma granting access to higher education in their home country. Non-EEA credentials undergo credential evaluation by the university admissions board. Applications submit online via the university portal with transcripts, identity documents, and language certificates. While Belgium does not offer full tuition waivers at the applied undergraduate level, reduction options, Flemish study allowances, and regional training incentives are accessible for qualifying European residents.

Part Time Work Details

Non-EEA students can work up to 20 hours per week during term time with a valid Belgian work permit and student residence card. Unlimited hours allowed during official school holidays.
