PGDip Adult, Children’s or Mental Health Nursing

The PGDip Adult, Children’s or Mental Health Nursing program at Wrexham Glyndwr University is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become competent and compassionate nurses. The program focuses on the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for adult, children’s or mental health patients. Students will learn how to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and how to communicate with patients and their families in a caring and empathetic manner. The program is delivered by experienced nursing professionals and includes a combination of theoretical and practical learning. Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to register as adult, children’s or mental health nurses with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Additional Information

The PGDip Adult, Children’s or Mental Health Nursing program is a part-time program that can be completed in 24 months. Students will attend university one day per week and will also be expected to complete a minimum of 1,000 hours of practice placement during the program. The program starts in September each year and applications are welcome from qualified nurses who have a degree in nursing or a related field. Prospective students must also meet the NMC’s eligibility requirements for registration as a nurse.
