Course Overview

This flagship two-year Global MBA offers you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of business, engaging with some of the most contemporary challenges faced by global business leaders.

Supported by our Global Leadership Development Programme and 12 month industry placement, you will be offered the opportunity to develop the most in-demand skills needed to confront the challenges and unlock the opportunities of a dynamic and unpredictable economic environment. You’ll also explore significant issues including business resilience and crisis management as a key part of the course.

The Financial Services Management specialism aims to equip students with a deep and broad critical knowledge, conceptual understanding and competence in the increasingly complex and fast-moving world of international financial service.

Modules unique to this specialism include:

  • Financial Markets and Regulation

  • Financial Engineering

This applied MBA will provide you with the knowledge foundations of business before offering the unique opportunity to specialise in your chosen industrial field, allowing the flexibility to shape your study based on your career aspirations. It is designed to develop creative, flexible and aspirational leaders of industry.

You will be immersed in fundamental business principles. These core foundations of business integrate cross-cutting themes relating to the global challenges shaping today’s business environment, including technological change, the global political and economic context, social and demographic change and environmental crisis.

Modules combine a mix of case studies, applied practical learning and real-world applications, supporting you to develop the fundamental skills needed as a future a global business leader. All learners will be supported in applying for a competitive year long industry placement to develop their management capabilities, and maximise their career potential.

You’ll have a number of opportunities to personalise your programme, with our unique specialisation model and a range of options to engage with industry during your second year. Students will be challenged to think creatively and deliver novel solutions to complex business problems. To enable this, unique assessments have been built into modules that involve practical work-related assignment such as the ‘client-consultant scenario’.

General Eligibility

A 2:2 honours degree or equivalent, or a comparable professional qualification and ideally a minimum of two years management / supervisory experience. Applicants with significant work experience but without a formal Level 6 qualification will also be considered.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • International students need IELTS 6.0 overall (with a minimum of 5.5 in any other component) or equivalent
