Course Overview

BSc Computing is about realizing your ideas – from design to development, to deployment. You’ll learn skills identified by the industry as critical to the computing sector, including computational thinking, software development, problem-solving, user experience (UX) design, and co-creation.

These themes underpin the Computing degree and are spotlighted in the Innovation Lab – a collaborative ideas space that reflects a professional tech studio. Here, you'll build commercial products and experiences that address a gap in the market, while receiving invaluable feedback and advice from entrepreneurs and industry specialists.

Across the course, you'll work to develop high-end portfolio pieces designed to showcase your talents to potential future employers or clients. You'll gain first-hand knowledge of the computing sector through specialist lectures and our industry-insight events, and enjoy support from tutors who interact regularly with the South West creative tech scene.

General Eligibility

• Indian students with 65% marks at Grade XII / Pakistani students with 70% marks at Grade XII

• A Level – Grades BCC

• Accredited Prior Learning equivalent to Year 1 and Year 2.

• Other equivalent qualifications from EduQual/BTEC with Merit.

• Copy of latest school credentials

• Passport copy

• Emirates ID (if any)

• Visa Page Copy

• Passport Size ID photo

Successful completion of one of the following:

• A recognized post-secondary course.

• University preparation (foundation) studies.

• One year of study at a recognized tertiary or higher education institution.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

• A mandatory English Language Test by Bath Spa University UK conducted in the Bath Spa University Academic Center RAK Campus; or IELTS (Academic) test results in an overall score of 6.0, minimum score of 5.5 for each skill/band.
