BSc (Hons) Children’s & Young People’s Nursing

This innovative and intensive course will provide you with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to become a registered children's and young people's nurse. You'll learn how to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for children and young people in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community healthcare services. • Caring for children and young people is a challenging but rewarding career. You'll work closely with children, young people - from newborns to adolescents - and their families.  

• Focused on the healthcare needs of children and young people, this course will teach you the theory, diagnostic and practical skills needed to care for children and young people. We're proud that 100% of our graduates felt that the staff explained things well. 

• 50% of the course is spent in practice placements to gain nursing experience in diverse locations, including schools, children's hospital wards, and community settings like children's hospices

• Become immersed in the science and art of child-centered nursing in our newly built skills facilities, including simulated hospital wards and community home settings. 

• Learn from experienced and knowledgeable registered nurses and other healthcare practitioners

• 100% of graduates are either working or studying fifteen months after graduating. 

This course requires 112–128 UCAS tariff points, including a minimum of two A-levels or equivalent. We are happy to consider a combination of qualifications and grades to meet the overall tariff, for example, A-levels DBB or CBA, BTECs DMM, or DDM.
