Course Overview

The program is built on solid academic foundations in biology and pharmaceutical science. Students gain knowledge of how biotechnology applies within drug creation and production environments. Over the years, similar biotechnology and biological programs at CTGU have grown to include modern laboratory training, research exposure, and project‑based coursework. Graduates are prepared for roles in laboratories, industry, quality assurance, and further study, both domestically and internationally. The coursework also supports entry into postgraduate programmes and links with research institutions. With an international student base and exposure to cross‑cultural collaboration, students build networks and perspectives that are valuable in global industries such as biotechnology and healthcare.

General Eligibility

• Completed secondary education or equivalent with strong grades in science subjects.

• Official academic transcripts and certificates.

• Proof of English ability if required (language test scores or documented education in English).

• Application via CTGU international admissions portal.

• Some scholarships available (e.g., Chinese Government Scholarship, CTGU scholarships for international students) based on academic merit and application materials submitted.

Part Time Work Details

International students may work on‑campus or off‑campus up to 20 hrs/week during term and full‑time during holidays (standard China student work policy)

Language Requirement

• For programs taught in English, students often need one of the following:

  • TOEFL iBT: ≥ 80

  • PTE Academic: ≥ 53
