The Urban and Rural Planning program at Zhengzhou University has developed alongside China’s long-term urban and rural development needs. Over the years, the course structure has been adjusted to match planning standards and professional requirements. Students receive training in planning methods, spatial design, and policy understanding that support practical work after graduation.
The program places steady attention on design practice, site analysis, and planning reports. Students take part in studio work and field studies that reflect real planning tasks. Graduates work in urban planning institutes, local government planning offices, real estate development companies, and consulting firms. The program also supports further academic study in planning and related disciplines, with graduates continuing education in China and other countries.
