Course Overview

General Eligibility

• Non-Chinese citizens applying as international students must have a valid passport. 

• Application is done through the SHU international admissions portal. 

• Application fee: RMB 500 (non-refundable) for international applicants. 

• After receiving an offer (E-admission notice), accepted applicants usually need to pay a tuition deposit within a certain period to confirm enrolment.

Part Time Work Details

International students must follow China’s visa and residence-permit regulations; any part-time work must be approved by the university and local authorities, and it must not interfere with studies. (Standard rule for foreign students in China.)

Language Requirement

• Since the Computer Science & Technology bachelor program at SHU is taught in Chinese, international applicants must prove Chinese language proficiency (for example by passing appropriate level of Chinese language tests such as HSK).
