Students often go into careers as professional statisticians in industry, government, research and teaching but our programmes also prepare you for careers in other fields requiring a strong statistical background. You have the opportunity to attend careers talks from professional statisticians working in industry and to attend networking meetings with employers.
A minimum of 2.2, with a substantial amount of mathematics at university level.
20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
Compulsory modules currently include:
Probability and Statistics for Data Science
Statistical Data Modelling
Bayesian Statistics with Stan and Python
Data Science with R
Statistical Learning for Data Scientists
Statistical Consultancy and Data Presentation
Project
Optional modules may include:
Deep Learning with Python
Data Collection and Analytics
IELTS (including IELTS Indicator) 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 6.0 in R&W; 5.5 in S&L)
TOEFL iBT 90 overall (with a minimum of 22 in R; 21 in W; 17 in L; 20 in S)
