Master's of Tourism - Local Development and Spanish Culture

... Spain
... IHMGS – International Hotel Management Gastronomy School

Course Overview

The Master’s programme combines tourism education, Spanish culture and local development with practical training in Spain. Its main academic component carries 60 ECTS and covers tourism management, local development, social economy, sustainable tourism, entrepreneurship, human resources, experiential tourism, tourism innovation and Spanish gastronomy.

Students receive Spanish A1/A2 training and can gain professional experience through internships in hotels, resorts and tourism companies. IHMGS reports opportunities in 3-star, 4-star and 5-star properties across mainland Spain, the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands.

The programme has an international student focus and is linked with the University of Valencia. This gives students exposure to Spanish academic and cultural settings. The course can support career plans in tourism management, hospitality, destination development, cultural tourism, tourism entrepreneurship and related areas. IHMGS also provides international-student support during admission and visa preparation.
