BA/BSc (Hons) Education Secondary and Biology

This course is designed for students who want to become biology teachers in secondary schools. You will learn how to teach biology effectively, develop your knowledge of the subject area, and gain experience of working with young people. The course focuses on developing your understanding of biology concepts, as well as teaching skills and professional practices. You will also have opportunities to engage with local schools and gain practical teaching experience.

This course is accredited by the Institute for Learning and Teaching (IFL&T) and the National Science Learning Centre (NSLC). Graduates of this course are eligible to register as a teacher with the General Teaching Council (GTC) in England.
