Through this degree, you'll have the opportunity to gain an excellent grounding in the theory, processes, and procedures associated with Forensic and Criminal Investigation. You will study the practical investigation of the crime to establish the facts and evidence that contribute to the resolution of crime by the police and courts and crime prevention.
You will receive a specific focus on a criminal investigation which will allow you to develop an in-depth understanding of criminal investigation theory and its practical application to real-life crime scenarios.
This course provides an excellent grounding for any career that involves the collection, analysis, and interpretation of information or evidence, as these skills are taught in core modules and are transferable to many careers. The graduate attributes that are routinely required by employers are embedded into the Forensic Investigation parts of your curriculum and therefore, graduates are normally able to evidence these skills, preparing them for a range of careers. This is evidenced by ex-students who have secured positions in forensic organizations, the UN, police forces, prisons, medical laboratories, schools, and universities.
