Course Overview

The human body is often pushed to its limits in pursuit of sporting excellence. Unfortunately, injury can be an unwanted consequence of this. You’ll learn how to keep athletes in top condition and how to help injured athletes through rehabilitation, by planning and implementing a comprehensive program. Imagine the feeling when you help someone return to peak fitness and competitive sport.

Our sports therapy degree is accredited by The Society of Sports Therapists, which means you’ll be working to the highest professional standards. Plus, when you graduate, you’ll be eligible for membership in The Society of Sports Therapists which carries professional indemnity insurance.

The Department of Sport and Physical Activity has excellent multipurpose facilities, including specialist laboratories, dedicated sports therapy clinical areas, and bespoke rehabilitation and musculoskeletal suites. We also have football, rugby, and hockey pitches, tennis courts, an athletics track and field, a swimming pool, and a fitness suite. All of which you’ll use as part of your study for our sports therapy degree.
