Master of Public Health

Course Overview

The Master of Health Science at EIT supports students who want advanced knowledge in healthcare, leadership, education, and research. The programme has grown as EIT expanded its postgraduate offerings to meet the needs of health professionals and communities. Students learn through coursework and supervised research, allowing them to investigate current health issues and apply evidence to professional practice.

Graduates can work in healthcare management, community health, education, research, and advanced clinical or professional roles. The programme develops research skills, communication, leadership, and analytical abilities that are valued across the health sector. The qualification is recognised within New Zealand and supports graduates who wish to continue into further research or pursue health-related careers in other countries.

General Eligibility

• A recognised bachelor's degree in a health-related field or an equivalent qualification.

• Relevant professional experience may be considered for some applicants.

• Applicants must meet the English language requirement.

• Submit academic transcripts, identification documents, and any additional documents requested by EIT.

Part Time Work Details

International students with a valid New Zealand student visa may work up to 20 hours per week during study periods and full-time during scheduled holidays, subject to Immigration New Zealand rules.
