Course Overview
The program covers machine design, energy systems, manufacturing processes, and mechanical analysis. Early study includes engineering mathematics and physics, followed by applied topics such as machine structures, thermal systems, and production technology.
Students take part in laboratory exercises where machines, materials, and systems are tested under controlled conditions. Group projects focus on real engineering tasks, including design work and system analysis.
Research groups at the university support thesis work and project-based learning. Graduates move into sectors such as manufacturing, energy production, automotive design, and industrial engineering. Some continue into doctoral studies in mechanical engineering and related fields.
General Eligibility
Applicants need a relevant bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field. Academic transcripts, CV, motivation letter, and proof of English level are required during application.
Applications are submitted through the Studyinfo Finland portal. Selection depends on academic performance and document review.
Scholarships at University of Turku include tuition fee reductions for selected students based on academic results. These are granted during admission evaluation.
