The BSc Sports Coaching course will provide you with appropriate academic, technical, and professional knowledge, in order for you to enter careers in sports coaching and instruction, teaching and lecturing, and sports development. Destinations of some of our recent graduates include Assistant Academy Manager at Manchester City FC, Club Development Officer at Hockey Wales, Post-16 Tutor and Football Coach at Everton Football College, and Head of Performance Analysis at Wigan Warriors RLFC. Students have also gone on to gain further qualifications either in teaching or at Masters's Level, including studying for our own MA in Sports Coaching and Development.

We provide access to part-time jobs, and extra-curricular employability-enhancing workshops and offer practical one-to-one help with career planning, including help with CVs, applications, and mock interviews. We also deliver group sessions on career planning within each course and we have a wide range of extensive information covering graduate jobs and postgraduate study.
Students and graduates of the University of Chester can use our services free of charge for up to two years after graduating.

Extra Information / General Entry Requirements:
Appropriate modern apprenticeship, work experience, and free-standing qualifications that form part of the post-16 qualifications framework will also be considered.
Substantive work experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications. Mature students (21 years of age or over) without evidence of the above qualifications but with relevant experience, will be required to demonstrate enthusiasm and aptitude for higher-level study. In some cases, potential students will be invited to do so by attending an informal initial interview.
Candidates for part-time study should ideally demonstrate a minimum of six hours per week of employment/volunteering in an appropriate sports coaching setting and have the written support of their manager for the integration of their studies with their workplace activities.
20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
