Next, you will develop acting, dancing, and singing skills as you continue working towards a Christmas pantomime performed to the general public and in matinee performances aimed at children recreating the industry standard of multiple versions each day. You will then explore crucial dance and theatre performance styles, creating professional standard work for recording. Finally, youFinally, you will conclude your first year in our theatre company by creating an original piece of contemporary performance and an adaptation of a classical text which reimagines the work for a modern audience. This work will be showcased in our end-of-year week-long Festival celebrating performing arts.
In Year One, you will explore a range of specialisms (dance, drama, song) to broaden and develop your skills and understanding of the breadth of the industry. In Year Two, you will work towards a chosen specialism to establish a solo showcase and marketing portfolio. You will then create your own theatre company and produce a piece of performance for inclusion in the end-of-year week-long Festival celebrating performing arts.
