Course Overview
The Mathematics Bachelor’s programme builds solid skills in logical reasoning and quantitative analysis. Early coursework covers calculus, linear algebra, and basic statistics. Later stages include advanced mathematical structures and problem-solving methods used in science and technology.
Students gain experience in structured thinking and precise communication of mathematical ideas. The programme supports entry into research-based master’s studies at the University of Helsinki or other international universities. Graduates often move into roles in analytics, finance, teaching, and scientific research.
The programme has grown through strong links with research groups in mathematics and related fields. Regular updates to course content reflect developments in applied mathematics and computational methods. Students benefit from access to academic staff who work on active research topics, creating a direct link between teaching and current mathematical study.
