Course Overview

Our Bioveterinary Science degree utilizes the strengths of the University of Chester in the areas of biology, behavior, and welfare. These strengths offer an opportunity to study animal health not only at the physiological and cellular levels but also at the behavioral level.

This holistic approach to animal health offers anyone studying Bioveterinary Science at Chester an interesting and complete understanding of how a disease will impact an individual animal. The Bioveterinary Science course also aims to examine the wider implications of animal health by looking at how it impacts wildlife ecology, and also how animal health affects the human population.

You will focus on the diverse skills required to work in pathology laboratories that support the veterinary profession.

Irish/Scottish Highers:

Irish Highers - H3, H3, H3, H3, H4 including H3 in Biology

Scottish Highers - BBBB including Biology

International Baccalaureate:

26 points including 5 in HL Biology

Access requirements:

Access to HE (Science) Diploma, to include 45 credits at level 3, 30 of which must be at Merit

OCR:

OCR National Extended/Diploma: merit profile plus one of the GCE A-level subjects listed above

Extra Information / General Entry Requirements:

Welsh Baccalaureate (core) and A Level General Studies will be recognized in our offer. We will also consider a combination of A Levels and BTECs/OCRs.

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
