If you are looking for a career in the fun, fast-paced events industry then this course is for you. Focus on an area that most interests you – tourism, hospitality, leisure or sport – and this degree will give you the skills and understanding you need to open the door to an exciting future.
The course combines academic study with actual business practice, working on real-world case studies and briefs during practice weeks. You also have opportunities to volunteer for events staged at the University and beyond.
Begin with a general introduction to events management and progress to specialist options and a close focus on planning, staging and managing events. Specific study areas may include consumer behaviour; marketing; tourism and events; sport events; and risk and crisis management.
The University of Bedfordshire is a member of the Association for Tourism in Higher Education (ATHE), which represents universities in the UK that are leading providers of tourism programmes.
We will consider you as an individual and take into account all elements of your application, not just your qualifications. We are looking for breadth and depth in your current studies and enthusiasm for the subject you wish to study.
