Course Overview

This course is specifically aimed at International students, supporting those wishing to gain practical work based experiential learning. Together with studying your chosen course we are offering an additional 6 month placement opportunity, making the course 18 months in length. This allows students with limited experience to put into practice the skills and techniques developed throughout the Masters degree. Engineering is a popular and specialised industry. As an electronic engineer you'll design, develop and test components, devices, systems or equipment that use electricity as part of their power source. Our advanced course in Electronic Engineering aims to address the educational and training needs of research, design and development engineers working in the area of electronic systems. It should appeal to those of you wanting to specialise in the areas of digital system development, systems on 'chip' (SoC) and field programmable gate arrays (FPGA).The course will suit your interest if you're looking at comprehensive analysis of current digital systems and investigation of future techniques and methodologies.

General Eligibility

Entry requirements for this course are normally:

  • An Honours degree (2:1 or above) in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline or an equivalent professional qualification.

  • You are also encouraged to apply if you have other qualifications and/or experience and can demonstrate that you are equipped with knowledge and skills equivalent to Honours degree level.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • The minimum of IELTS 7.0 overall with no element lower than 6.5, or equivalent will be considered acceptable.
