Course Overview

History is an inspiring, dynamic, and relevant subject. It is always expanding and adapting to absorb new ideas and ask new questions of the past. Studying history will also help you develop practical skills valued by employers, such as the ability to collect and analyze data and construct a clear argument.

Our History (with Foundation Year) option is a four-year course with an integrated foundation year which leads to the same qualification as our three-year honors degree. It has been specifically designed for those wanting to undertake degree-level study but who may not meet the entry requirements or have traditional qualifications.

The Foundation Year (Year 0) offers you the chance to expand and strengthen your confidence, skills, and knowledge – ensuring that you are well-prepared and qualified to progress into Year 1 of the undergraduate degree.

General Eligibility

HSC (4.5 GPA or above) will be considered for direct admission to Bachelor's degree courses.

HSC Student (below 4.5 GPA) – plus 1-year Foundation Programme or must obtain a two-year Bachelor's Degree (Pass).

Part Time Work Details

The 20 hours is total hours. It is not per job. If you hold multiple part-time jobs then the total hours of all the work you are doing added together.

Language Requirement

• If you do not meet the English Language requirements to enter the International Incorporated Bachelors or the International Incorporated Masters, BUIC offers you a range of Pre-sessional English Programmes which you can take before you start these courses.

  If you have an IELTS of 5.0 (with no component below 4.5), you will be offered a 6-week Pre-sessional English course immediately preceding your entry to the IYZ.

  If you have an IELTS of 4.5 (with no component below 4.0), you will be offered a 12-week Pre-Sessional English course immediately preceding your entry to the IYZ.
