This course is designed for registered nurses to train as midwives. The University of Suffolk offers an exciting environment, within which to study Midwifery. There are excellent links between us and the local trusts where students gain clinical experience. The course supports students in developing a range of knowledge, skills, values, and competencies, which meet the professional requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). This course enables successful students to gain registration as a midwife on the Nursing and Midwifery Professional Register.
Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Nurse (Adult) first level status. This must be maintained to meet the NMC revalidation requirements for the duration of the course.
