Study the law and governance of strategic decisions on complex economic, environmental, and technological questions around sustainability. You will examine the relationship between energy, the environment, and climate change and how they relate to sustainability throughout all sectors of society. You'll learn to design and plan interventions for creating change to promote greater sustainability across different scales. You'll learn to analyze, evaluate, and critically review theory and policy debates relating to sustainability. You will also be able to draw on international perspectives and examples of best practices in relation to methods of evaluation and assessment of sustainability. You will have the opportunity to go on a related placement with industry or the public sector, where you will work on an actual case for real clients.
An honors degree in Law, Geography, Environmental Science/Studies, Planning, Engineering, or Business Studies at lower second class or above. Consideration will also be given to applicants with other academic backgrounds who explain clearly their motivation for undertaking the relevant MSc, outlining any relevant work experience.
