This course provides flexible learning which is relevant to students across local, national, and international health and nursing settings. You will develop your knowledge and understanding of quality improvement and patient safety. It will also improve your ability to influence and lead these activities in practice. You will explore the related theories, principles, and culture, and will be encouraged to critically analyze a range of tools and approaches associated with quality improvement and patient safety and to reflect on their application to service delivery. In order to achieve the PGDip, you will complete four modules. Our teaching team also includes NHS colleagues who are currently working within the clinical environment and are routinely applying, teaching, and supporting the use of quality improvement and patient safety approaches
You'll normally need to have a degree or equivalent and work in a health or social care related area. We operate a flexible Recognition for Prior Learning (RPL) system by which students who do not have a degree may be eligible for entry. We recognise that students applying for this course may have acquired significant learning from previous educational and life/work experiences. We can offer potential students the opportunity of having such learning assessed for credit. This credit would go towards your application for this course.
