This program explores the social, cultural, and political constructions of gender and sexuality. Students will examine the intersections of gender with other forms of identity, such as race, class, and disability, and how these intersections shape individuals’ experiences and opportunities. The program will also investigate the ways in which gender shapes political, economic, and social institutions, and how these institutions impact gender roles and expectations. Through coursework and experiential learning opportunities, students will develop critical thinking skills and a nuanced understanding of the complex interplay between gender and other forms of identity.
