Course Overview

Accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of England and recognized by many Indian State Medical Councils, this course encompasses teaching, clinical, and research elements relating to the field of orthopedic surgery. This includes general orthopedics and sub-specialties such as an upper limb, foot, and ankle, pediatrics, and orthopedic oncology. As a practicing orthopedic surgeon, you'll gain in-depth knowledge of the latest surgical and biomechanical techniques. You'll cover the biomechanics of all major joints, imaging techniques, trauma, gait and motion analysis, research, and statistical analysis. Alongside lectures and self-directed study, you'll get hands-on learning experiences. You'll complete dry bone workshops, have an associated clinical attachment with a consultant orthopedic surgeon, and participate in workshops - currently, shoulder approaches, hand and wrist, foot and ankle, spine, and navigated knee replacement - using Thiel-embalmed cadavers. These cadavers are embalmed to retain lifelike qualities, including soft tissue and fascia, and full joint articulation. This ensures an incredibly realistic learning experience.
