By studying with our expert forensic scientists at our Centre for Anatomy and Human Identification (CAHID) and acclaimed authors, you will be able to write knowledgeably and creatively about key aspects of crime and the law. During this course you will have access to authoritative information about forensic science, the police and the law, and will also learn about forensic experts and the role they play in legal investigations. You will also learn the skills needed to create an imaginative piece of writing, which makes use of forensic cultures, histories, investigation and evidence. You will be taught by staff in literature and forensic science and you will also have the opportunity to watch forensic experts being trained to give evidence as they participate in mock trials assisted by our colleagues in the University's Law School.
Students will normally be expected to have a 2:1 honors degree in any subject. Applicants with alternative qualifications and/or relevant experience may also be considered. All applicants should submit a piece of their creative writing. An explanation of the creative project may also be included with the application.
