Course Overview

This course is designed specifically for registered nurses who wish to 'top up' their academic qualifications to a BSc Nursing Studies award. It acknowledges the diversity of learning needs of professionals in the workplace, particularly those working in healthcare environments and studying concurrently. It will deepen your knowledge of evidence-based practice and develop a critical approach to integrated healthcare. You then can effectively apply the theory to your nursing practice.

You will study subjects relevant to contemporary nursing practice and be provided with learning opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills to allow you to progress in your chosen sphere of nursing practice.

The online materials have been designed to support your studying at a place and pace that suits your needs. Depending on your previous level of study, you will complete either five or six modules and complete the course in 12–28 months. Where available, a maximum of two modules can be completed each trimester. Further information can be found in the indicative module delivery schedule.
