Course Overview

You’ll use a range of digital cameras including Canon, Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro, and the Arri Alexa Mini LF (used in the BAFTA Best British winning film, 1917). Other equipment includes the Steadicam, Sound Devices Mix Pre-3 recorders, and a range of lighting. Post-production facilities include AVID Media Composer. You’ll also have access to Pro-Tools and the full Adobe Creative Suite and we also work with DaVinci Resolve for color grading.

Regular visits from working professionals will enrich your studies and offer up-to-the-minute insights into the industry. We have guest speakers from: British Film Institute (BFI), Molinare post-production house, BBC, ITV, Kent Film Office, Netflix documentary filmmakers, freelance CCCU alumni filmmakers and screenwriters, foley artists, and 'Festival Formula'.

Our Film Production degree will help you become multi-skilled, developing your technical and creative skills to the professional level needed for entry into the film industry and wider creative industries; some of the most rapidly growing sectors of the UK and global economy.

Graduates may also go on to undertake a higher degree at Canterbury Christ Church University or further afield.
