Your transformation from a new student to a future business professional will begin from day one.
In your first year, you will gain an understanding of the business environment and develop fundamental management skills in marketing, people and organizations, and finance.
In year two, you will translate this management knowledge to the wider world and gain a solid understanding of the challenging international business environment. Aspects such as globalization, cultural variation, and the challenges of different geographical, political, and economic factors are addressed.
You will start to shape your career path by choosing an aspect of international business and get on-the-job experience in a 5 week's work placement that suits your personal ambitions. Whether working in the UK, on a supported work placement in China, or engaging in community projects in Costa Rica, or Africa students find this aspect particularly rewarding, as do future employers.
After your second year, you will have the chance to undertake an optional year-long placement which really brings your course to life and will enhance your graduate employment prospects. How does a study and work placement at Walt Disney World in the sunshine state sound? That’s what Emma experienced during her time with us and is just one of many great placement opportunities this course provides. You may even have a year studying business and management abroad in Europe, North America, Asia, or Australasia.
Your final year is even more tailored towards giving you the competitive edge you need to enter the area of business you want. You will carry out an original supervised research project into a subject you select and complete a module designed to maximize individual professional success. Most of what you study will be anchored to today’s international business world – the top global companies and emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence and financial innovation.
