Course Overview

Our full-time Masters's degree is designed for graduates with at least six months relevant work experience, who want to qualify as professional Social Workers. Offered in Cambridge or Chelmsford, this two-year MA in Social Work is approved by Social Work England, so when you graduate, youll be eligible for professional registration. Typically, in your first year, youll have three days of lectures a week on campus, with the rest of your time spent in independent study or on placement. In the second year, youll have one day on campus, with 3-4 days per week on placement.

General Eligibility

  • A first degree, with honours, at a minimum final classification of Lower Second (2:2) or equivalent.

  • 3 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above, including English.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 7.0 ( Academic level with a minimum of 7 in each component) or equivalent English Language qualification
