Course Overview

Nursing really is a job for life. As an adult nurse, youll make a difference in many peoples lives, including your own. As a registered nurse, youll have the choice of a wide range of roles. You may choose to become a community professional and work in patients homes, clinics, GP surgeries, or nursing homes. Or you may want to work as a nursing specialist or consultant within a hospital. Or you could take your education further still, conduct research, or go into healthcare management. Our course aims to help you become a confident, compassionate nurse with the knowledge and skills you need to deliver high-quality, person-centered nursing care. We are dedicated to the continual improvement of every aspect of healthcare and delivering the values set out in the NHS Constitution. You'll develop your skills in the fundamentals of nursing and patient care; developing skills in inter-professional team working and taking a collaborative approach to your work €“ recognizing patients as partners in their care. As a qualified nurse, youll identify peoples needs before planning and providing care.

General Eligibility

Employment in a suitable healthcare environment on a permanent contract of at least 30 hours per week (ideally 37.5 hours per week) Foundation Degree in Nursing, Assistant Practitioner (Nursing) or Health and Social Care, or equivalent Level 5 qualification, from which up to 180 credits can be applied as Accredited Prior Learning (APL)*

Language Requirement

• If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.0 (Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognized by Anglia Ruskin University.
