Course Overview

The International Foundation Year in Sciences prepares you for science-related undergraduate degrees.

This one-year programme is split into two routes:

  • Engineering, Physical and Mathematical route

  • Life Sciences and the Environment route.

The programme consists of core and pathway-specific modules. Your core modules will improve your academic and English language skills. The pathway-specific modules will go into more depth about the field of your undergraduate degree.

General Eligibility

  • The Diploma of the International Baccalaureate (IB Diploma) and the Diploma Programme Course (IB Certificate) 26 points 

  • A/AS levels 24 UCAS points (formerly 80 UCAS tariff points, excluding native language)

  • IGCSE/GCSE 5 passes at A-C in relevant subjects

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • Academic IELTS 5.0 overall (minimum 5.0 in writing)
