Bringing together criminology, forensic science, policing, and law, this course will give you a broad basis of knowledge from which to build a career in fields such as forensic science, policing, criminology or intelligence. There are core modules in forensic methods, management and investigation, UK law and the legal system, criminology, mass disasters, community safety, and police investigation. During the final year, youll explore more specialized aspects of investigation and crime, in your studies and through your major project. Youll learn in various ways, from lectures and seminars to practical sessions including laboratory-based work, role-play, and simulations. Theres a strong emphasis on developing the skills youll need to be effective in the professional workplace, whatever your job.
