Course Overview

As a student at ARU Peterborough, youll cover topics such as global environment-related challenges, environmental science and monitoring, environmental management concepts, environmental policy, legislation and regulation, and environmental health and safety. In particular, we focus on developing problem-solving skills and strategies for addressing environmental challenges that are needed in a broad range of fields, such as the production and manufacturing industry, consulting, management, environmental protection, local and central government, the media, international organizations, teaching, research, and academia. Throughout the course, youll find theres an emphasis on developing important transferable skills. These include the design and implementation of environment-focused assessments, data science, and management skills for problem-solving, project management, and professional report writing. You can also choose to enhance your employability even further with an optional placement year in the industry.

General Eligibility

  • 96 UCAS Tariff points from a minimum of 2 A Levels (or equivalent).

  • 4 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above, including English.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • The IELTS score for international applicants to Joint Honours is 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in each component).
